| well, this is kind of hard for me to say (admit, i guess)
and even harder for me to say for my self.
my family is actually chinese by nature(100%).
my grandparents moved to burma when the communists took over, and they had my parents there. (yes - both dad + mom, and they had no relationship before)
then my parents both moved to taiwan (ironic isn't it...?) but at different years. they got married in taiwan and moved to the us (before i was born)
so, it's kind of hard as its conflicting on my nature, my parents can speak burmese, but my ethnicity we are chinese (we speak mandarin at home).
but on a side note, my cousins from burma just moved in to live with us, and they left the same day the protests went on (they left onto the plane that day) |
