| To accept Egold or Not to accept Egold, that is my question? Hello,
I have had quite a few people latley ask me if I will accept EGold for payment for various domain names I am selling.
I am unsure if I should or not. Currently I only accept PayPal payments. I checked out the EGold.com website and it all looks a little, emm, Scetchy / Confusing to me. Is this a solid currency? What do you all feel are the Pros and Cons of accepting Egold.
Thanks alot for helping to make my decision.
GG

| E-gold has been around for a long time (I think I opened my account back in 1996...).
Like moneybookers payments cannot be reversed (unlike paypal) so if you are the seller it looks pretty safe to me. The annoying bit is that I cannot withdraw money easily to my bank account unlike paypal. You can still spend it or use an e-currency exchanger (beware of fees and scams !).
All in one it's a solid payment platform but you are right: their site sucks and it looks very 1996ish actually |

| as kate basically said, there are no "chargebacks" which should be beneficial for the seller (you in this case). note that there are also account fees for just holding ecurrency with e-gold, where they automatically take a percentage of ecurrency from your account every month. you'll also likely pay fees when trying to get the money out of e-gold and into your bank, so i'd suggest selling your e-gold here from a trusted member for paypal or np$ - and take a slight loss in the conversion of course.
nota bene that the correct url for e-gold is www.e-gold.com (egold.com is some parked page with popups!)

· #4 | | First Time Poster! | I have been using e-gold for about 6 years now and I can say that everything is instant there, only no verification or identity of the user, anyone can open it... And there have been issues with e-gold, went through investigation and all... |

| Thank you all for you great comments, Rep added
I have some thinking to do. And thanks for the correction on e-gold.com, that is what I meant and there site is very out-of-date and technical looking.

| Definitely go for it. I love e-Gold, great for legit buyers and sellers IMO. |
