A stupid question

A slow domain night (or day depending on where you are at) so I'm using my one and only brain cell to ask a stupid question.

I noticed on the list of active members that -RJ- is not always the first name. I figured out that the hyphen (-) plus a letter before R bumps RJ.

My question is this:

Names are listed in alphabetical order. How are the symbols listed (obviously not alphabetically)? I'm thinking by the way they appear on your keyboard (~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * etc). Is that it, or does anybody really care?
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/the-break-room/33862-a-stupid-question.html

See, this is what happens when you have bought too many names and have sold too few!

Only people with 2 or more brain cells may respond.

Thanks,
ST

It follows this mathematical theorem:
Quote:
; first define a help predicate that reports whether the
; symbol a is lexicographically ahead of the symbol b.
; to do that we have to look at the symbols for a and b
; and *not* their values.

(defun lex< (a b)
(string< (symbol-name a) (symbol-name b)))

????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=33862
; next sort the symbols, using this new predicate

(defun isort (l)
(sort l #'lex<))
