It's called State sponsored terrorism or 'false flag' attacks. It's when a country 'organises' a convenient attack on itself to gain public support and backing to go to war. The motivation to do this is usually to secure/steal resources, land or alter the geo political landscape.

There have been many instances of governments engaging in this type of activity, such as the 'Tonkin Gulf Incident', a lie which launched the Vietnam War. Pretty disgusting isn't it? It's also said that the attack on Pearl Harbour was known about by American intelligence, but it was allowed to take place so that America could justify using the Atomic Bombs against the Japanese.

There's also the attack on the American Intelligence gathering ship, the USS Liberty, by the Israeli government... The day before Isreal attacked Syria.

Personally, it makes me doubt 911 and 711, Everything that happened on those two sad days stinks to high heaven. Too many coincidences to actually be coincidence if you know what I mean, in this case the aftermath not only resulted in war with Iraq, it also resulted in some pretty disturbing legislation being pushed through congress which basically tears up the constitution.

Even now, there are articles on the net predicting the next 'false flag' incident. An event which will gain America public support to go to war with Iran.
