I just found out my dad has "small cell" lung cancer, this type of cancer is very agressive, For all that pray, Please say a prayer for my dad, his life has been turned upside down in one day, aswell as my own, I lost my mother just last may, I hope my dad can stay around a while longer, probably the most asked question, did he smoke? yes he did, BUT, he quit 22 years ago, and has not smoked since.
Sorry to hear that -X-. Although I believe, I'm not the praying type of guy, but will make an exception now. Medical standards are high these days and hopefully that will benefit your father in his fight against cancer.

I sufferred the loss of 3 family members in less than two weeks due to cancer and a total of 7 over a few years. Some of them smoked, some had quit, and others didn't so it's not always the smoking. Others live on and have fought it off almost easily.

Thank You all for the prayers, I took him to a lung onocoligist today at 1PM, Although this small cell lung cancer has no cure, i feel very optimistic after what the doctor said, he said my dad will take chemotherapy treatments for six months, and that chemotherapy is known to kill the cancer cells in a very aggressive way, After 6 months of chemotherapy, the doctor said they would stop the treatments, the doctor said the cancer will come back, but it could be two months or a year, At that time he said they will begin chemotherapy again, so i think if my dad has a good remission after these intial chemotherapy treatments , he can live up to five more years. You people are the best! The greatest friends a person could ever ask for

Sorry to hear that but my prayers will be there for your dad. I hope with God's miracle ways he will be cured as nothing is impossible in this world. I would suggest you to try Yoga therapy for your dad for positive results.
