So, often when I log on to namepros I see a message on top that says something like
"There is 1 person in chat discussing something and everything else" .
Now, this is a frequent occurence. This is a serious problem among namepros users.
What is that person discussingr??? Are they having a multiple-sided argument with themselves?? Are they a good self-conversational partner, or do they have little in common with themselves? Is the chat room a form of inner monologue for them? Are they 'mentally divergent'?? Do they need a hug?
Next time, unless you'll be intruding upon an intimate discourse, go join that lonely person talking to themselves in chat.
the symtoms are:
one staring at domain name lists too long
waiting to catch an expired one word name
day dreaming of a two character domain name
regression into solidarity chat rooms
talking to an imaginary buyer offering $$$
lol, i like that red hippo. especially the imaginary buyers bit.
i have this recurring conversation constantly with myself and sporadically my cats
"what? you want to buy john.ws for $4500? and you sir, you want to bid $6500??? SOLD!"
I've noticed this too upon coming to the website, muliple times. And it's usualy the same person from a few users.
..But... What is your point, johnny6?
What exactly is the serious problem here?
I sometimes head into the chatroom when it's empty, that doesn't mean to say I have a problem upstairs, or have "domainia" for that matter! If one person is it the chatroom, then usually somebody else will enter. The chat room will always take that one alone person to start if off.
Darren's right. Chat sessions have sto start somewhere, and that usually means one person going into chat and waiting for others to show up. With "Live! 1 person chatting" showing on top of pages, the chatroom looks more inviting than "The domain name chat room is empty."
