That's pretty nasty...They must've cut his neck open or something because I don't think hanging does that to you...or maybe it does.

I know from experience how nasty a hanging can be.. my cousin hung herself at the age of 14..

I pretty much agree with you.. I'm not a big Bush fan, but had he met a similar fate, I'd think it was morbid and disrespectful to parade the body on video.. but, it is news.

Well the rope basically breaks your neck and can certainly pull your skin apart if the rope is long enough and the drop sufficient enough. Your vertabrae is basically snapped out and you are killed pretty much instantly.

I hung myself when I was eight by jumping off a low tree branch onto a chair, luckily the rope broke and all I got from it was a pretty severe rope burn. Kids do the darndest things, eh?

Well actually the hanging looks actually much worse than it probably was for him. As mentioned above, in a hanging you are killed almost instantly. This is actually one of the most humane ways to do off with someone. Quick and nearly painless as when their neck is snapped they feel nothing and they're gone.

And if you saw the video of his hanging, the drop they sent him on was definitely sufficient enough to break his neck. He probably had a 2 or 3 second fall. This is hardly enough time for someone to gather their thoughts after a sudden jolt. While I believe he should R.I.P. and people should leave him alone, not many of us Americans are used to such ways of execution. But if it came down to it and I had to face either 1.) The electric chair or Lethal Injection (the American way of capital punishment) or 2.) being hanged, I would take the second option as it would be much quicker and as I said before, is much more humane.

And this is not a red ball.. That is the inside of him.. I don't know exactly what as I'm not a doctor but it is probably his spinal chord & what makes it all red is the blood hemereging..
