| Wow, what the media have really blown this up into something that it's not!
The whole thing was a planned event and Sharad Pawaar had no idea what was going on. The Aussies had to stand up there with the trophy so photographers could take pictures. The Minister was in the way, i don't think it was rude at all. |

| I agreed with blues_bogan, He was in the way for the photographers, and ricky wasn't the only one that called him over and he didn't push him, Your making a whole lot of something from nothing.

| Ponting wasn't the one that put his hand on the minister. Ponting receives the trophy, takes a pic with the minister and then steps behind him. I'm not sure who nudged the minister to move, but it wasn't Ponting.

| Woah- I see that you feel it was insulting, but as an unbiased observer it really looks like nothing intended as disrespectful. It looks to me as though Sharad Pawaar was a little lost and would have possibly embarrased himself by exiting the wrong way from the podium without the guidance, I think if it looks heavy handed I think its purely due to the fact that they are sports people, and are far more used to being like that with one another- I don't think nationality has much to do with it. |
