Rush Limbaugh says he feels "liberated" and "tired of carrying the water for those who don't deserve it" following the results of yesterday's elections:
Today is a very good day for Rush Limbaugh. Remember that he made his reputation on the offensive when Clinton was in power. For the last 6 years he has been on the defensive I think he will be quite happy to go back on the offensive.
This guy was supposed to be the "voice of truth"....
Brush sold his soul 10 plus years ago. Yes, he may have had a 'gift' for talk radio, but since the republicans came to power w/the 'Contract against America' this $%*, @#$, idiot became a neocon pimp.
And now that the republicans lost congress.....now he's liberated? What would have happened if the Neocon's stayed in office? More spin? More lies? What a dumb*@#&
I doubt he will regain the same following and respect he had during the Clinton years.
I want to see investigations, probes, and heads roll. Grab some pop corn, turn on CSPAN, and enjoy the next 2 years.

I'm content to see heads roll in 2008, meanwhile we have to set aside partisanship and work together to get America out of the hole it's dug itself into.. Rumsfeld taking a hit for the team was kinda ridiculous IMO. Sure it's meant to signal a change but hey, Rummy didn't make those decisions on his own, did he? Better to let him stay and actually change, than to go thru the motions.
Rumsfeld was just a sacrifical lamb, imo..... only days before the election, cheney said everything was still a 'go' w/Iraq, and Bush praised Rumsfeld.
After the election, we're supposed to be content with the 'stepping down' of Rumbsfeld?
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha

I don't think it was a matter of placating anyone, it was a deliberate signal that the Republicans were willing to "change".. I'm not sure the "new guy" will be any better.. guess we'll have to wait and see.
It's a tricky subject.. we need to change, but don't want to signal division and weakness.
