OT: PayPal fraud email

I just got this email which is a fake.

Just wanted to let you know. BEWARE!! Looks like PayPal, it's not PayPal

Dear paypal user, We would like to inform you that we are upgrading our server to install a better protection software. So please click here and fill in the registration form again to renew your account. Paypal Administration.

I get these daily. I also get fraudulent ones from ebay, bank of america, citibank. All fraud. They just want to steal your info do very bad things

These "fake" emails get more and more real looking every day. I have almost got to the point were I just don't open any of them. The real paypal guys have never, no not once, sent me a email about something being wrong with my account.

No reputable site will EVER ask for your personal information to be filled out again via an email.

They send the emails to everyone, even if they don't have a paypal account.

hmm i only had my paypal account about 3 weeks ago.

only received it after i had my account but not before then

InteractAsia, This is just my quess, I have no proof of it. It does seem like we are getting more and more of these kinds of emails though.

I'm not 100% sure about this. But I think I read somewhere that this is connected with the MyDoom worm.

i havnt got any spam lately..which is surprising.. usually on my personal email accoutns i receive on average 5-6 or so a day, but lately i've been getting 0 kinda sad actually..i never have email now lol
