Opinions on my logos?

Sorry, didn't find a forum that would have been totally appropriate to post this to, so I went for this 'un.

http://www.bigdaymusic.net/Beatcave/ideas/logos.htm

is the link. It's for my studio/audio production company, and the aim is to look a bit cool without having too many strong associations or interpolation, if you know what I mean.

Any opinions gratefully received : it's just 5 variations on one logo, and doesn't take long to view.

Ta muchly

Image 6.

Image 8 may be very nice too, but the font is just plain and there isn't much to it.

I feel the text in Image 6 gives off more of a 'beat' being in capitals and italics.

I like the bottom logo in Image 11, the best now.

The top image in Image 11 is nice also, but I've seen that idea soo many times, that it's not unique anymore.

Perhaps I'll have a go at something, using your original idea, if I have time.

Hmm. Yes and no. The two colour thing for the name is quite nice, and I did like the speaker cone image, however the text in the first one is too conservative, and I don't like the bottom one as it's a bit generic. That leaves the middle one, which is OK, but I'd rather have a graphic. The logo won't be on enough things to justify just having text, I think.

I also feel the bottom ones are a little unoriginal : I'd like to have a little more creativity and daring in the logo to reflect the nature of the company.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/the-break-room/17594-opinions-on-my-logos.html

hmm....

Sorry , didn't follow your abbreviations there : NP's? PM?
Call me thicko...

As far as getting new logos is concerned, I need to be careful, as the guy who designed the bottom ones will charge me to use his design professionally (even though he didn't supply them with that pretext), and it's a graphic designer friend who I've asked to help me with the logo in the first place, so I don't want to tread on toes or make this complicated.
If you have an idea that you don't mind me using for free, then feel free to post it : all I'm saying is I can't guarantee paying for it if I develop your idea with someone else. Which sounds a bit callous I know, but I ain't got much money. I'll be paying my friend mate's rates (I hope) which is why I can afford to do it at all!
