Senate approves anti-spam bill

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- The U.S. Senate voted Wednesday to outlaw deceptive "spam" e-mail, and set up a "do-not-spam" registry for those who do not want to receive unsolicited commercial e-mail.

Internet "spammers" who flood e-mail inboxes with pornography and get-rich-quick schemes could face jail time and million-dollar fines under the bill, which passed by a vote of 97 to 0.

lol and I guess they get spam too. *pops a bottle of wine* I'd like to make a toast to senate for doing the right thing. Good job. American capitalism isn't the only thing on their minds!

I sure hope that they get this "Do Not Spam" list made soon.

My name is going to be first on it lol. I wish. I hate spam. spam is bad, so is pop-up advertising and site downloads that affect your smack like homepage and search page and stuff...
