Firefox can't do what Opera can.

I was using Opera as my default browser, until one day all of my bookmarks were gone. I had just installed Firefox, which had imported all of my opera bookmarks, so luckily they were saved. Firefox seems to do a better job loading pages, seems to be faster, and seems to be more popular in the web dev. community.

There were a few things I loved about Opera that I can't seem to figure out how to do in FF though. Maybe you can help.
  • Opera never popped up a box about "POSTDATA" when I tried going back to a page that was the result of a form submission
  • Firefox erases everything from textboxes when I hit the back button. Very frustrating.
  • In opera, you can click the mouse buttons (right then left or left then right) to navigate. This isn't as important now that I bought the MS Wireless Elite Keyboard/Mouse.
  • You can't duplicate tabs
  • You can't highlight an address on a webpage and right click->Go To URL
  • There isn't a back button that goes to the last SITE visited (instead of last page)
  • To zoom, you have to hold down CTRL in FF and scroll your mouse. Where's the zoom menu?

????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/the-break-room/124697-firefox-cant-do-what-opera-can.html
That's all I can think of now, since it's been about a month since I used Opera.

Ah, but no it doesn't. Webpages have Javascript in them to do that Dunno why though -_-

This is a good privacy feature. It lets you aware of re-sending data through the Internet that may have been harmful if sent a second time.

What do you mean?

Uh... I don't see that anywhere O.o

It lists the pages, not sites... what planet are you from? O.o

If you like easy navigation, just download and install some free plugins!

Thanks for the help

As far as duplicating tabs, sometimes I have a window open that I want to duplicate (take the entire history of that tab and make another one like it). I can't think of a specific example right now, but I use to use that feature in Opera.

The SITE back button is a really helpful feature. Let's say you are searching google and find a tutorial site that has 25 pages of lessons. You go through each lesson, then you want to get back to google. You just hit the SITE BACK button, and it will take you to the last site visited, instead of page 24 of the tutorial. Understand?

btw...Earth

Thanks,
Jorge

When I click "back" in FF it always saves the text in text boxes. I remember, because IE used to p**s me off by not saving it.

Your right though, Opera can do many things which FF can't. One of them is crash constantly.

I use Opera more than FF, probably because I was too lazy to install individual modules/plugins for FF I read a test the other day, the browsers came out equally good on the test, it was just a matter of preferance.
