Cool Couple of snaps out of my window...

Where I live on the Isle of Wight, the Solent (the sea between my Island the mainland) is a very busy route for ships in and out of one of the worlds busiest ports - Southampton.

I have attached a couple of snaps of the following ships which went by a couple of days ago. We have enormous boats going by all the time - from the biggest cruise ships in the world to the largest container ships.

The following are links to official pictures of the boats:

Queen Mary - http://www.cunard.com/QM2/PhotoGalle...rboard%20H.jpg

Golden Princess - http://www.princess.com/ships/np/

See just below the pictures I took of the boats out of my front window:

In the distance you can see Portsmouth And even the infamous 'Millenium Tower' which was renamed the 'Spinnaker Tower' because they are STILL building it! See the little white blob just above the trees on the right of the image?

It was quite a dull day that day... usually Portsmouth is very clear and you can make out all the buildings etc.

Great view.. I'm envious!

Living in Missouri as I do now is the first time I've ever lived away from a major lake or coastal town or city..

Rochester, NY was located on the shores of Lake Ontario (one of the Great Lakes) and I lived there for 30+ years.

I lived in Virginia Beach, Virginia 2 years, which is right on the Atlantic Ocean.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=106939

I was born in Miami, Fla and gre up there...

I used to skip school and head down to Dodge Island in Miami where all the cargo and cruise ships docked..

We also owned a cottage when I was a kid on the St. Lawrence Seaway in the 1000 Islands.. we could see huge ships pass by all the time.

Now I'm landlocked

my view is alright where i live... lol

My camp:
Awsome view of the alegeny river. I can cast a fishing pole from the back porch Pretty sweet Its not like in pittsburg either... its in the mountains in Venango county pennsylvania, so its pretty sweet... theres a few other camps there as well, but you take a 10 mile dirt road to actually to get to the camps :-/ So its not too popular cause the roads are really rough The view is awsome, you can see the islands and everything on the river, there isnt too many islands on the alegeny river either... I love fishing though... and the type of fish i go fishing for... well are something most people dont go fishing for... i do it for the sport, Carp. Takes you about 20-30 minutes to bring in a 25+ pound carp in Takes time... but i will tell you its fun

Well, I've been to Virginia Beach, doesn't look like a very good place rather than a great place to go on vacation Been to Miami, FL as well. Nice places Pennsylvania, too. Majorly the entire East Coast. Going to explore the West Coast this summer later on!
