AY.com on Flippa

Just saw this come through my news screener. AY.com just went up on Flippa with No Reserve, and a Min Bid of Just $79,999

How much do you think it will end up getting? One of the better LL.com's I have seen in a while.

One of the best 2L domains. My guesstimate around 300-500k.

But weird choice for of auction platform for a no reserve auction for such a great domain.
I have been noticing many great domains are being auctioned at flippa. Do you think flippa or sedo, which provides better exposure for domains and for which type of domains?

I think sedo for sure. Not sure why this guy is selling it on flippa, I think flippa is better for actual established websites. Sedo's security with the payments is the best around..

Let's See. On a $400,000 sale, Sedo Would charge $40,000, while Flippa $140. Escrow.com is just as safe as Sedo. Sedo Over charges. Will he get as much money as he would have on Sedo? Who knows.

Not sure if he verified the first bidder.

Tip: take $xxx refundable deposit for sales that are in $xx,xxx before accepting any bids.

Its an awesome LL.com , there is still plenty of time for more bids, I'll just wait and see what the lucky winner ends up paying. I can't see it going over $150k...

I think Price in the $150k-$250k range would be warranted. If 2 end users get involved in a bidding war, perhaps more.

Flippa is increasingly becoming a good venue to sell domains.

in many cases better and cheaper than SEDO.

i agree . another cool thing is the 30 day auction time , its a very long time to gain interest and to create awareness among buyers . might not fit medium quality domains but its great imo for premium ones .

certainly one of the better ll.coms, I'm not sure about the 100k bid on it so far since there is often a lot of shill bidding on flippa or maybe it was a friends account or perhaps its a real bid
either way it has reached reserve and it set to go!

I had my domain on sale on Flippa for a few weeks. Because Flippa requires exclusive listings, I had to remove my listing from Flippa in order to move ahead with my sales process. I would have liked to keep it on, because I do get leads.

I was pleased with the visibility with a featured listing ($60). There is a very active community on Flippa. Combined with my press release, I had over 2000 views the first day. This compares very favorably to other sites.

However, after a couple of days, the listing falls off the first page, and because their search capability is limited compared to other sites, there was very limited visibility. I had difficulty finding my own listing. That was not good. :-)

The site has lots of merit and if they can make it easier to have a listing found, it would be a great venue for selling premium and super premium domains like AY.com. I was overall pleased.

I'm not sure about domains on flippa there used to be a section that you can easily access for domains but they updated the site a few months ago and now you have to refine your search a fair bit to filter just domains...

Yes. I agree. They need a filtering system similar to the ones on other domain marketplace, to make it easier to find domains. It is a well thought out system but it lacks search capabilities so it is easy for a domain to get lost.

Premium domains attract attention to the site and therefore more potential buyers, but at present it needs some more work to keep these premium domains visible to potential buyers.

I believe S9.com sold on Flippa for $400k or something close to that. Seems like a nice sale to me. AY.com should do well in the final week IMO.

S9.com was a developed website. I doubt this will go high as 400k
