Value of CCC.com

I've been wondering about CCC.coms.

Is there any value to owning these names. They seem to be able to be acquired rather cheaply.

I guess it's obvious that no1.com (or others) have value because they are short and actually mean something, but do other CCCs have value.

Anybody selling stuff like 0xh.com or 5rt.com to an end user?

Skinny

Every ccc is taken in .com and for some reason they manage to fetch a decent price pretty easily even though some of the domains are useless.....

I could pay 20 times more and some more and some more...

It's LNL I suppose(...)

It all depends on the domain. I'd prefer a LLN to an NNL...then again, it depends on the domain: the sequence of characters and the sound of it!

I think CCC.com's are more of a collector's item. Most I see go for $xxx and a rare $xxxx (even meaningless ones). They are very active on the market though.

That's true, it really depends on the sequence. S0X is one awesome name and should be worth quite a bit.

About 3-4 months ago I had put up my 26(K)(Dot)com up on Godaddy auction and had kept the reserve at $1 K but at the last minute I made the mistake of lowering the reserve to $600 and someone bid on it and won it. After the auction I kinda regretted letting it go for that price. But I was actually glad when the buyer didn't pay up ( he didn't know Godaddy takes higher amounts to Escrow and didn't wanna pay through it for some reason). So anyway, I've put it up on auction again, but this time at a MUCH higher reserve. Lets see how it goes this time.

I think CCC's are worth quite a bit ( specially the ones with a good sequence ) and with time their value would only keep increasing IMO.
