Hello, I have not posted before but I am one of the many who got on board (early) enough and bought 200 of the best remaining LLLL domains on July 7th (to be exact) of last year when there were 25 000 LLLLs remaining. Scanning DYYO there were many triple premiums avaliable for reg fee at the time.
What was left in following months after July 7th....was 25 000 Q Z X W domains.
I see a lot of speculation on what will happen in the next few months and as someone who was buying at the time I can tell you that the remaining Q Z X W domains were not bought up naturally. As many people have claimed. There certainly was a rush and a greater interest in LLLL dot coms.
I believe there is a very good chance we will see Reg Fee LLLL .com's in the near future as mass drops hit the market.
That's just my opinion.... This is a key moment in LLLL domaining.
For now, have you ever seen one available LLLL.com to manually reg? No. Why? Because all registrars, including domain tasters, single registrars, are already snatching LLLL.coms and keep themselves. The best advise is to renew them and once the economy and oil prices goes back to normal. Prices will rise again.
I think people who bought in this window (July- November) are a different breed. AKA non-domainers...people who might have jumped on board blindly and don't really know very much about re-selling or anything web related for that matter. I believe many will simply look at their investment when they recieve that renewly email -- for the very first time in a year. Look at prices which will be hovering around $20 and simply be disapointed and drop.
