Bidder 6 looks pretty serious about that name! I'm not sure why anyone would pay more than $20 over standard NLL pricing...

i was looking at it right now

there is not significant google research (i only looked for it) but maybe owner did his homework very well, found potential end-users and sent nice emails to them saying about the auction and thats it

bidder 1 went until $1,000 and bidder 2 until $510
after that a bidding war between bidders 6 and 8 and bidder 6 is bidding by proxy since $570... he/she really wants the name

another thing can be happening is shill bidding but i have read it happening with LLL.com, not with CCC.com

My initial thought was shill bidding- having a double letter means I could see resllers/investors going up to $800-$1k on a whim, but tow end users after a random NLL.com, come on, really? Unless there''s somehing major going to be marketed, a new product etc that I haven't heard of, I think this is the seller shill bidding up an end user.
