![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | My opinion. If the .org is not registered, I am not interested in .info. A large percentage of .info domains are not renewed. A lot of domainers consider .info a safer bet because they can get 7 for the price of 1 .org for the first year. |

![]() | A lot of the registrars including e*om gave people the .info to there .com free in the heop they would renew it the following year. A bit of a sly trick and unorganised people had the domains auto renew without realising, this might help explain why all the .info's are taken. You can always do a test of taking some random NNNN.com's and checking the whois for them and the .info, mty guess is that you would see quite a few matches |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Agree 100%. I was thinking about buying out NNNN.infos myself last year but somewhat forgot about it when I got obsessed with LLLL.coms... Long term, I think these will make excellent investments.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The CEO of Proxiti wrote in to my blog last week, they bought 6,000 NNNNN.info's that represent French postal codes because ".info" is a popular extension in French and the .info's were cheaper than their other options. So apparently there is some end-user interest in these domains, although I have never gotten interested in buying them.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Elaborating on what Ergo said, many numbers have special meanings and likely most numbers (in the 1000-9999 range) have special meaning to someone out there. 1492.info in example could be a site about Christopher Columbus -- much better for that particular purpose than 1492.org. Likewise, 2010 could make a nice site about the summer olympics that'll be happening in Singapore then or 2012 could make for a good Doomsday site for people contemplating the end of the Mayan calendar... This is particularly useful for dates in the 1000-2100 or so range, however you'll find many higher numbers useful for other purposes as well. All in all, I think they're a good investment. I don't think there's an enduser out there for all of them, but I do think there are endusers out there for enough of them to support the annual renewal fees.
