...but it only takes one decent bid to make a sale. ![]() ````` I'm looking to try Sedo, tdNam, or somewhere similar pretty soon. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/short-domain-discussion/428018-best-place-to-sell-llll-coms.html Anyone else want to share their favorite places to sell?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I would say: 1) NamePros or other DN boards or sub-forums, NP being #1. 2) TDNAM 3) Get a bid on a name and send it to auction on Sedo. 4) Ebay 5) Portfolio website All the while scouting potential buyers and directing them to your auctions / sites / threads. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I`m going to write this advice soon on my Blog, probably tomorrow. As far as I know, selling now is the biggest mistake anyone can do as prices did not catch up yet on at least 1/26 of the LLL.com , only Premium ones are moving quickly toward that target while there is a lot space for the worst ones to reach at least $250 - $300. But , if few sales to pay renewals are required , this is my best advice: avoid using PayPal unless buyer is extremely well known, I`m going to choose wire transfer payments for 90 % of any sale that I will do in the future, it may take 2 weeks for each sale but I won`t have any chargeback. Regarding places: Sedo is currently underperforming and charge a big 10% so it does not really inspire me.....one of the only 3 LLLL.com I sold in the last 8 months was NUQE.com and is almost a month since auction is over....the buyer paid Sedo the second day after the auction but I still have to get paid. (it seems the buyer has still to transfer out the domain to his account.....because Sedo could not be bothered opening a free account at Joker.com )????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=428018 eBay is doing well but the auction system is quite silly so sometimes it`s a matter of luck as auctions are never extended and I don`t like it tdnam IS DOING VERY WELL but you got paid after 30 days. At the moment, I choose NOT to sell so I really can`t advice you more. |

????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=428018 It has been explained many times on the forum, just search the word "chargeback" or the plural of it.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Lorenzo's right. Imagine this as a worse case scenario: Several buyers (or a large bulk buyer) buy your names by Paypal... 60 days later, a chargeback is initiated. Since you don't have the funds in your Paypal account and since you're a verified member (who gave them your banking and credit card info), Paypal's just going to take it out of your bank account or bill your credit card... It's not hard to imagine suddenly not having the money to renew your LLLL.coms because of a misshap like this... I know for a fact that I wouldn't be able to afford renewals on my LLLL.coms if some of my XX,XXX buyers were to chargeback the purchases (all my trades are done by wire or Escrow though, so I can sleep well at night). ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=428018 I wouldn't recommend using Paypal for anything over $200. I usually use Moneybookers up until $500 or so (moneybookers is more of a pain to initiate a chargeback with, so scammers generally stick to Paypal) and do everything higher by wire or escrow.

????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=428018 Last topic on DNF showed Escrow.com being vulnerable in the case scammers get the names and change the whois with seller name. In my opinion Moniker Escrow service is the most safe place but it cost a bit more, surely for 4 figures deals is the way to go. As alternative, I really invite more people to get their online banking and start practising with cheap and safe wire transfers, some online banks are extremely cheap for that.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Wire is 100% seller safe, but the inability to reverse a wire means the buyer is at the mercy of the seller. Some people have too much trust in others... I'd be very hesitant about sending most people more than a few g's by wire before receiving my domains. Very good point about escrow.com though... I've heard about that but wasn't sure how widespread this "scamming technique" was. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=428018

![]() ![]() | I think it's a UK version of paypal. I will accept moneybookers since I have an account. The problem is I don't know where to spend my moneybookers money.
