I'm wondering if there is currently any demand/value for 4-char. domains besides LLLL.com. If so, what do such names go for right now?
so they would include at least one number. for example NLLL.com or LLLN.com, or even potentially NNLL or LLNN
I would love to hear everyone's opinion as I have never really heard any discussion on this topic before and i'm not sure if they are worth anything yet, or if they ever will.
I think it is too early for NLLL.com, LLLN.com etc. I would say, right now, there is no demand or value in them, not yet. There are exceptions of course, I would think a domain like eg Top3.com has definite value. Overall I think their future relates to how well the LLLL.com market turns out. I am sitting on one LLLN myself, Los5.com (meaning "the 5" in Spanish).
I agree it is a little early for 4 character domains right now. However, I believe that some day they will all be registered just like the 3 character domains, so if you come accross a great one and can afford to hold onto it for a while, I'd buy it.
I registered a couple hundred in August of 2007 for $7 each and have been selling them for $19 to $59 each. However, I just didn't buy random combinations like 5qx9.com. I spent lots of time on hand registering domain names and got words like owe2, 0Wow, 2Fed, etc.. because they contain keywords for parking income. I've also been registering L-LL and LL-L domains as well since their are only 35,000 of these possible combinations versus 456,000 LLLL.com domains, thus from a collectors point of view they have a rarity factor.
I had one and ended up almost giving it away a couple weeks ago- L444.com . Won't be regging anymore like that anytime soon. If anything super premium L-L-L.nets or L-LL's is what I am looking at right now (reg fee wise).

I received an unsolicited (but legit - forum PM from a respected trader) low $xxx offer for my a5ia .com a few months ago. Appreciated the offer (it made my day!) - but declined without thinking too much about it.
I doubt if they will sell well any time soon. I do have one though, 4rth.com-- Need to put something about the 4th letter on it some time

I just wanted to resurrect this thread again because I notice that 3 character .com domains such as LLN.com and NNL.com are selling left and right on the forums for well into $xxx range.
this makes me reconsider whether 4-character .coms are a good investment right now. any more recent opinions? thanks.
IMO yes LLLL.com's are a good investment especially if they contain premium letters and are pronounceable. I believe that just like their predecessors (LL and LLL) they will be hot on the market in the near future.

right but just to be clear we are talking about 4-chars w/ #s in them, such as run4.com 2leg.com or 99np.com and oe77.com etc. also 444R.com, J948.com, etc.
as you can see there are more permutations than the 3char. which would only be nnl, nll, lnn, lln, lnl, or nln. in this case we have LLLN, LLNN, LNNN, NNNL, NNLL, NLLL, and even NLNL, LNLN, LNNL, NLLN, and so forth. so which do you see having more value, if any? because i see 3 character .com going nicely now in the $xxx range.
