3LLLs and a hyphen

I have found some LL-L and L-LL but it is rather hard work as the dyyo site does not appear to facilitate searching with hyphens. I registered 1/2 names and see them as an offshoot of the LLLL family. Any opinions?

Stick to L-L-L if you are going to register LLLs with hyphens. Anything else is far to difficult to remember for any end user to want to market it.

Hycari is an unknown quantity at this point

I agree, using anything besides L-L-L would be difficult for the end user. They would probably accidentally type something else and end up at another site.

Personally, I wouldn't waste my money on those type of names. I'd only register L-L-L.com names

m-ms.com is a great example of a popular L-LL.com. I see these names as an offshoot of L-L-L.com. I think that the L-L-L.com is usually better but not always. (e.g. Nestle prefers to promote m-ms.com when they also own mms.com) In context, the quality of letter combinations with available L-LL.com and LL-L.com is a lot better than the letter combination with the last 4000 L-L-L.com. I would tend to go with premium letter L-LL.com over one of the last 4000.

I like them as they can be pretty brandable as well. Some I have are (all .com's):

e-hd
e-mr
g-hq (I believe all X-hq would be a good investment- lots of traffic)
e-im
f-ed
i-ha
i-qq
k-yo
t-it nice traffic
T-TT

LL-L

Dr-E
ny-e NY entertainment?
ny-r
ny-h
DJ-U for DJ university
AM-I
ca-p
ch-a - good traffic
p-cc

two L-LLL for the fun of it
o-wow
e-gig

good luck, Gary.

This was the direction I was thinking in....unfortunately others have already been quietly chipping away at what is available! .... the last 2 letters are the absolute key IMHO.

I'm in agreement with Gary on this. I see the perception of the"-" in domain names changing rather quickly especially in advertising for movies and toys .
