what does this mean LLL.com and NNN.com why do i see this every where i go when people are selling there domains. like i see " a 3 letter LLL.com min bid $100 and people bid crazy amounts of money??? why

L = letter

N = number

LLL = 3 letters

NNN = 3 Numbers

NLL = Number then Two letters etc.

They go high because they are rare as there is only so many combinations.

people pay big cash for this domains because they are rare

LLL.com - Letter, Letter, Letter.com eg abc.com. NNN.com is Number, Number, Number.com eg 123.com. These command high prices because they are all registered. The only way to get one is to buy it from someone, nothing left to reg.

~10000 NNNN.com (all gone)
~455000 LLLL.com (88% gone)
~100000 NNNNN.com (>80% gone)

There is 26 LLLL.com for every LLL.com, hence larger supply, hence lower LLL.com supply.
3 letter acronyms are considerably more popular for businesses than 4 letter, hence larger demand for LLL.com.
>50% of LLL.com's are already in use which is considerably higher than the number of LLLL.com's in use, hence even lower supply of LLL.com on the market.

LLLL.com are totally different to LLL.com. Some are more valuable but usually LLL.com are better.
