Do <h> tags help?


As far as I know the <h1> tag with your keywords helps your ranking but I am curious if <h2> and <h3> also do this?

john edword is an unknown quantity at this point
 



h1 tag has more importance as compared to h2 or h3.

Yes, but they should all be used sparingly and wisely. A basic rule of thumb:

<h1> Main headers such as article titles </h1>

<h2> Sub-Section blocks of ideas inside the article topic, mainly consisting of several paragraphs. </h1>

<h3> Sub-Sub-Section blocks such as paragraph titles</h3>

yes , basically use h1 for your main keywords , and h2/h3 for your secondary keywords or LSI keywords
