I dont think CMS matters, Its your url structure, code, backlinks, content which matters for seo. Wordpress imho is far better than any other ready CMS for SEO.

Hope this helps.

It depends on the CMS you are selecting. Make sure there are no error with the scripts. Validate in World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to check error. You must have the freedom to control all onpage SEO factors like sitemap, feed, etc.

For ofpage optimization it doesnt matter which you choose.

I use Wordpress for my sites. Wordpress have lot of plugins. Under an hour site will be ready. If you are good at coding you can customize everything according to your need also. looks, functions, etc.

All the best.

Agreed with nirav.dave

But you have to stick to the SEO friendly ones: Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, etc. CMS is just a platform to help aid in the delivery of content so it can be managed by non-developers. Most of the popular ones are SEO friendly.

Any popular CMS can achieve SEO friendly results. I prefer Joomla over wordpress because it has too many duplicated pages.

Find one that works, then google the CMS name + SEO and you will find some great articles to minimize indexing errors.

I think SEO is better than CMs and also Cms is depends on your Selection.Because SEO work better and provide many benefits then CMs.CMs just manage content and some marketing where as all other things depends on SEO.

CMS won't effect your SEO or page rank unless the code has errors or is not setup correctly. You can usually visit the developers forums and if every one is complaining about not getting listed, then you know.

SEO is based more of the quality of content you have and who is linking to it these days.
