![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Use flash elements however you please, but each time you put a video on your site you should always use a description to describe the content. All the search engines see as of right now is .SWF - They don't see the actual content provided inside. If you have an image of a united states flag on your page, google doesn't know what's in the image unless you tag it or put a description under it.

![]() | IMO it is better to avoid flash content. I added it to one of my websites and found that my website disappeared from page one (it was there for six months). So I quickly removed it and found my site on page one after around 10 days. There could be other reason but I suspect the flash content the most.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I would suggest following html like. <h1>Title of site</h1> <p>Content of site</p> <h2>SUBject of H1</h2> <p>Small bit of setup</p> <object video></vid> <p>Description of video</p> <h3>Main points of video</h3> <li>List objects</li> <li>List objects</li> <li>List objects</li> <li>List objects</li> <li>List objects</li> <li>List objects</li>

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Google can read text in a flash file. Google can follow ordinary links in a flash file. Google can't read image text Google won't make sense of text which is broken up for animation effects Google can't follow flash that's embedded in other flash files Google can't index external files which are run from or loaded from a flash file There are ways you can mirror your Flash content for search engines (like with swfobject), but resist the temptation to get spammy. This means don't keyword-stuff or add extra things to "optmize" for the search engines or you risk having your site trashcanned.
