Why disappeared in Google?

My site disappeared in Google about 2 months for any keyword search, except its url. I don't understand what is happening with my site. What should I do now? Should I stop all of link building work or should I change to target new keywords? I'm really confused. Please help!!

Cancer Survivorship
First you have to figure out why it "disappeared." Won't do you any good to haphazardly try things if you don't have a clue what you're trying to "fix."

Have you tried to search your website on Google. Type URL of your site and see if Google gives you any result. If not then your website has been banned. If it still exist means that your ranking has dropped.

How deep did your check your rankings? There is a tool at Googleposition[dot]com that checks Google rankings up to 400th place.

Maybe your site's ranking went down a few places.

Sounds strange, the day before or you have purchased a domain - the third is looking for - if not the results of the season? Google not Yahoo, not working much faster, unless the domain is blacklisted - removes a directory. Often, even in a situation where the domain ownership has been transferred, it can take weeks or months, sites, profiles are updated completely - at least in part.

this happens every now and then to innocent sites, just last week, one of my valuable sites also disappeared (ranking-wise)and usually when this happens, I check whether or not the site is still "indexed"

and it was/is still indexed...the next thing I do, I did a "duplicate content" check (cos sometimes competitors will do this, use your website phrases etc etc)
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/search-engines/669643-why-disappeared-in-google.html

but the main culprit was "url redirection abuse", its a server issue, a folder about "pills, viagra" have been injected on my site and Google has indexed them all

I had to delete these spam injections and submit a reinclusion request to Google and at the same time re-submit an updated sitemap

now Im still waiting for the next refresh

you can always send a letter to Google
if this thing continues after the next update, something fishy must be happening
do check your inlinks also

It may have a lot to do with the way you are building links. One really good link placement is way better than 100 bad ones. What makes a good one? relevancy...if you have a laptop site and you get a link from another laptop site, that is GOLD...if you have a link from a travel site, then you've wasted that time and other than the possibility of traffic, there is almost no other benefit. If you've paid for links, you are in trouble, Google knows which links were bought, and only a few paid for services are given impunity, like Adsense and others.

It could also be that Google just doesn't like your content much. If you cant write very well or make spelling mistakes and grammar mistakes, then they'll just not bother listing you.

Your traffic stats will tell you a lot about what is going on.

first of all, do not post the url for obvious reasons. Secondly, you have been sandboxed and this means you are no longer relevant in any way to your chosen keywords, but you still have chances to be permitted back in.. so just check in a couple weeks.
