Nice info: but I personally do not use Squidoo to get traffic or backlinks. To get god links or traffic from a len, we first have to promote it. We have to do some work on the lens so that it can rank good in SERPs. I think instead of putting our efforts in promoting the len, why not put that effort in our own site

yeah that 's true.. But squidoo gets more search engine attention than our pages alone can. So there is nothing wrong doing so I think.

The important thing with Squidoo is to build informative pages. Just like so many other methods, it really comes down to having lots of good quality, original content.

Well, I don't personally use it before for getting traffic. I can tell you about squidoo review after using it.
But if it true that Google prefer top squidoo pages in top search result then there is no harm in trying it.

i see some negetive comments on squidoo. i myself find squidoo as a powerfull tool not only to get a relevant contextual backlink but also to generate a little bit of extra revenue. it is true that squidoo got slapped by google couple of years back, but they still provide quality backlinks. if a properly optimized lens can be created and promoted properly, then squidoo lens can rank high and generate traffic plus revenue. lot of giant squids make full time living on squidoo just by creating one lens after another

A small update.. Though there is lots of difference with the Squidoo TOS now.. So be careful with the lens. Or there will not be any use with it. You may get either nofollow links or your lens will get rejected.

Well their are always question on Squidoo's power but I personally feel it have good backlink power which surly boost SERPs as well as Link popularity too and lately I experienced that it help to give some PR juice too for inner pages of our sites!

Many times I could succeed on my affiliate programs with squidoo lenses. they quickly come on top of SERPs

Yes squidoo consumes lots of time i think its a waste of time, am not a great fan of squidoo...
