WP theme template web as SEO ?
hey , guys
what do u think if i build a free WordPress theme website as a SEO tecniques to promote my commercial sites?
any prons or cons
any suggestions or advice will be greatly appricated

You mean you will create a site where people can download WP themes for free and in those themes, you will include a backlink to your other sites?

I personally do not think that such strategy will have good results. You may get some backlinks this way, but those backlinks will not be quality/relevant links in most cases.

You can invest the same amount of time in writing some good content for your other sites

Also, I personally only download WP themes from WP official site.

Surely, the free templates strategy work to a certain extent.
If your theme is very popular then you would definitely get backlinks.

Depends on what you are trying to get. It can still work but I think G has figured out how to slightly discount footer links but I;ve seen some sites with very high PR based mostly on footer links.

I should have mentioned one example of the footer links. openeducation.net It has a footer backlink from one of Chris peason's themes (Neoclassical). Site is PR6.

I can say this is the beautiful white hat technique of getting 1000's of backlinks from high pr sites.
Personal experience: Recently i have bought a footer link from fully coded wordpress template for 60$.
Within 15 days, total 2000 downloads for that theme.
Just image the calculation. I have received total 6000 high quality backlinks from that theme.

There are many techniques to promote wordpress themes.
