Bing for SEO

In the search engine wars, Microsoft has been nowhere to be found when it comes to market share. In fact, they nearly spent over $40 billion to buy Yahoo which is a distant competitor to Google which owns about a 75% market share of searches. In the latest battle for search engine market share, Microsoft has launched a new search engine called Bing and everyone is reviewing the information.
Search engine optimization is critical for any business because SEO, acronym for search engine optimization, is how your business shows up when a potential customer enters a query on Google, Yahoo, or now Bing. As you’ve heard me say in other articles, search engines are the yellow pages of today; just the order that your business is found is based on importance and not how much money you’ve spent with that advertiser.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/search-engines/590245-bing-for-search-engine-optimization.html
The big so what on Bing is that we now have another search engine to check as we make sure to search engine optimize our websites. Microsoft has very deep pockets and is very willing to launch products while losing money, learn about the consumer product experience, and then make adjustments to gain market share. Microsoft has been very focused on Google as their primary competitor in recent years and the attractive PPC revenues will be the reason that Bing will be around and revamped for several years unless Microsoft makes an acquisition in this category. As a full search web development company that offers website design and search engine optimization services, we will continue to monitor the development of Bing as a search engine to make sure our search engine optimization services and our website design will be friendly to the search engine.

Nice info, but I don't think somebody will start optimizing sites for bing. Google is number one and nobody can change it.

Microsoft surely is trying to improve in the field of SEs. They first tried Live but it could not get much attention from the users. Now they have launched Bing in the hope that it will perform better than Live.

I never got much traffic from MSN or Live in the past, but these days, I do am getting little more traffic from Bing if compared to the traffic I used to get from MSN and Live combined.

I heard that Yahoo uses almost the same ranking algorithm as Google. I think Bing should not have much difference. So, if your site is highly optimized on Google, it should be on Yahoo and Bing as well.

I don't think Microsoft has got a new algorithm for BING. Their algorithm is same with MSN and Live.

Microsoft is really trying hard to improve in the fields of
Search Engine.
They once tried MSN then they bring LIVE and now
Bing is born, but I'm not really sure if they're using the same ranking algorithm .

Bing - MSN live have 9.8% of search traffic.. although google rules the internet with 63% of search traffic..it looks like some part of the world is still using Bing (MSN live) for day to day search.. in other words, 9.8% of 1.5 billion of internet users = 147 million (max), if you can harnest 1% out of 147 million internet users, imagine how many traffic you can bring to your site.

in short, although google dominates the world, we should not neglect the power of other search engine..like Bing, Yahoo and even Ask.

As regard to BING, i found out that if your page score is 4 in bing.. your site can be listed on the first/second page.for that targeted keyword.

Bing is a good search engine for me. The interface is neat and the results are okay. As far as competition though, I think it would be pretty hard to defeat Google since it has been the biggest engine for years now. Google's algorithm is also used in SEO particularly which means that a lot of people trust their methods and stats.

Hi,

Google is best for me and i did not try for promotion in another SEs till now. I check our site for my main keywords and there are lots of difference between google (Position 1 or 2) and bing(Positions about 10). Dont know what is algo of bing.

I will do only for google and bing will promote my site for his database then ok otherwise i dont care about them, because i get our 80% traffics from google only.

Thanks

Do you not agree that Bing looks a lot like Ask.com?

I focus SE on Google and PPC on Yahoo. Seems to work.

I wouldn't spend a lot of time doing SEO for Bing. Google represents 80% of the search market.

Microsoft has not still learned that Possibility usability. Google has succeed because of their simple and usable designs. Perhaps Microsoft should learn about it first.

Hi,

I think so because about all webmasters obey the rules of google.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=590245

If google give us about all things like traffics and webmasters tools then why we will use other SEs.

Other SEs results are also not good like google.

I try only to optimize our sites with google only.

Thanks

For me google drive more than 75% traffics and BING only about 5%.

So, i like google as my search engine.

I promote my site in google only and BING and Yahoo promote my site auto.

Thanks

New game

Well with the new MSN/Yahoo search deal ranking high on Bing will deliver about 25% of the search traffic. Yahoo search results will use the MSN algo. Time to pay attention to Bing.
