· #1 | | Account Closed | .info Can a .info gain pagerank and compete with the higher TLDs? Is it possible to get on the first page or even second page with a .info?
This question is of course coming from the fact, that I plan on buying some .info. |

| Any and all domain extensions can rank high for any keywords.
It simply takes alot of dedication and hard work, meaning quality content and lots of relevant backlinks. |

| More and more people are starting to see the value for .info and I have already had other members saying to me that they did think the ext was a pile of doggie poo poo but are now interested in obtaining some strong keywords, places, etc.
I have noticed much more competition with the drops and slowly prices are going up but.. its still a long way to go for the ext imo but in answer to your question, Yes .info can do well and imo fits many names very well.. |

· #8 | | NamePros Member Location: Sheffield Join Date: Jan 2007 | Hi dot.info are a great way to rank for the domain keyword, and to test out the waters.
I have a few hundred, a few at no1 too. but when the are all "exactly the same name" with exactly the same page and optimization, i do find com - net and org are a bit better.
just my 99cents worth.. lol

| .info extension enjoys the same benefits when it comes to seo and stuff. However, the only drawback is that it is not as popular as .com so I think if you are going to start some big project, you should go with .com |

| .info is a very respectful TLD! Being the cheapest in price (or so) doesn't mean it's cursed by search engines. |
