Thanks Nick. I have only had the site up a short time. It averages 25 - 45 uniques a day. So not a whole lot yet.

Its good, if your site is on the top for this keyword. But the real thing is the traffic, so how much traffic are you getting from this keyword search?
Also, why you are worrying about PR?
The real thing is search result rank, which you already have. PR will not bring any traffic, real thing is good search results ranking.

I am doing around 70-90 uniques a day now. I am concerned about PR because from what I have read it keeps your site higher in the rankings? Is that not true?

Depend on how you look at it.
It's not PR that get you higher ranking.
It's relevant links your site has.
But, more relevant links you have, higher your PR.
So, in a way, it's true.
But, your #1 spot won't get you higher PR.

Did you checked your backlinks from your google webmaster account? Are there enough? If you think you can do better then please do that. It will stop messing up with your site.
