Hmmm, I thought it was only suppose to be for 1 hour. I guess it is normal for google to go above and beyond by keeping the lights out all day long (at least on their website). I wonder if they did it at the office as well. I know some restaurants that are going to be turning off the lights. Customers will have their meals by candle light.

Yeah, I also doubt it happened in all countries. I'm online at least 14 hours a day & Google's my homepage so it's unlikely that I would have missed it. But I'm glad others got to see it & told us about it. It's a good gesture by Google.
