Thumbs up MSN, Yahoo! and Google - Which is the best?

When I do searches using Google, Yahoo! or MSN, I get different websites being in the top ten positions. Sometimes you find the same sites in the top ten but at different levels. Overall, for me, Google seems to give the best search returns.

I have always been a google fan myself. I always have good luck finding sites that I need using google. But my 2nd choice would most likely be msn. They seem to have done alot over the past year to improve search results as well as develop new services to compete with google.

Hi,

Depends what I am looking for. If it is images, definetly yahoo cause google index much less images and also pages.

I like to use google, but I know that what I am looking for is probably on yahoo if I cannot find it on google. Google takes a longer time to index pages, and if trying to find something new you probably won't find it.

Look at my post in this thread:

The second one, not the first. I provided an exact method, or even a trick I and many others use.

All depends on your needs and what you're looking for. But for me Google's results are more important than any others.

Populariy wise Google tops followed by Yahoo and MSN. But if you are a owner of website trying to get indexed in all these search engines, it would be easiest to get indexed in MSN. For getting indexed in Google or Yahoo, just put a link to your website from a website page having high pagerank. Your site will be then crawled and indexed automatically by Google and Yahoo.

Big G is for sure the most complicated one but let me tell you something: if you will search for enlarge penis for ex. on google the first 10 results are all big sites which ar having that key-term but whch are not as useful as a smaller site which is based to describe that term.

MSN is offering you very relevant results not the bigger sites but the ones with the key-term very often used.Same on Yahoo.

I prefer Google, although I get most of my SE traffic from MSN.

Well, I think between Google and Yahoo it depends. Each of them does better at something. Now if you are speaking pure search...Google!

MSN seems to give the most relevant results. The only problem is their database of web pages is much more limited right now.

For a new site MSN is the nice. As it delivers better traffic to new sites. For site with lots and lots of content. Yahoo is good. And for site with lots and lots of content plus the age with a better ranking google is good.

Because google might deliver the traffic late. But when it delivers it doesn't stops.
