Well firstly, thats a directory rather than a search engine. Secondly, search engines make their money from sponsored listings. People will pay the owners to place their website near to the top of the page. But bare in mind that the search engine has to be an active site with visitors and there are so many out there that it seems pointless in starting.

You can use webservices (search API) from other engines (Yahoo, Google, MSN all have). But I say unless you have your own advanced search algorithms delivering unique, relevant results to the users, it'll be just another website with some results.

Man I have been building this project since last 4 months. It is near its completion.

But this is preview not a working one. The working one will be lauched on 12th April 2006

As I have been in collabration with other guys here.
