Talking Domain Name Keyword Importance?

Hi,

If I have a URL that is a more memorable name rather keyword related would it help with the seo rankings if I were to buy more keyword related DNs and have them fwd to my main more brandable domain name?
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/search-engines/179643-domain-name-keyword-importance.html

So if I wanted to develop ISOLTR.com (In Search of Long Term Relationship)
Would my site have a better chance if I forwarded DNs with the keywords in the name, regardless of length, to my site? Specifically prases that people would type into a search engine.
like
Ineedlove.com
Imlookingforalongtermrelationship.com
Imlookingforasinglecuteguyclosetowhereilive.com
ineedhelpfindingmyonetruelove.com
wherecanimeetthemanofmydreams.com
imlonleyandneedtobeloved.com

?? Any thoughts,

No, this seo tactic worked about 10 years ago but now the search engines see that there are many copies of the same site and apply a penalty.

would it be considered multiple copies?

I will only have one site which I publish, submit to search engines, advertise, etc...

All the other domain names will just fwd to my main site.

Will I get penilized for that? Is that considered mirror sites? Even though I'm only publishing to one URL?

well then, i dont see the point. if the other domains 301 redirect to your main site then google will only index your main site with one url. it will ignore the other domains so they wont rank for anything. the only point i can see in having another domain is for type in traffic and keywordkeywordkeyword.com is not gonna have many type ins.

Yes that is exactly what I am looking for is type in traffic.

But type into the SEO not the Address bar.

so if one of my fwd'd urls is

iwanttoknowwhereicanmeetalocalsingle.com

and someone types exactly that into google, msn, etc.

I want to know where I can meet a local single?
Will my site be at the top of the list since my fwd'd URL is an exact match of what they typed?

thnaks

Short answer: no.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=179643

Google takes MUCH more into account than just your domain name.

You could own Cars.com but package it as a site about screwdrivers if you wanted to. Properly optimized the site would come up in searches for screwdrivers, not cars.

My point is the url itself really doesn't matter.

OK so if I do go ahead and fwd all of my keyword related DNs to my main DN will it hurt my main DN.

20 other DNs are being fwd'd to my main DN is that a bad thing?

Will google spider each DN and think that I have 20 mirror sites? Or will it realize that the 20 DNs just forward to my main DN?

I already have some keyword related DNs that I would like to fwd to my main DN but I don't want to hurt my rankings or anything. Is it ok to fwd these to my main DN?
