Excuse me guys, but I decided to make a similar script because I saw his selling for 3k. Nothing illegal here, check all of the laws and notice that a similar project written by hand with new features and a different name is perfectly legal. I'll PM the mods and send them a copy of the script so they can check it out -- but this was completely written by ME and solely by ME.

I've also sent the files to Jon so he can confirm that the code doesn't match his (I've never in my life seen the files for GameScript, just the demo site he has online and the screenshot of the members area).

Jumping to conclusions should be left for the man in Office Space (inside joke for anyone who's seen the movie); don't ask to have a mod remove a thread before investigating

EDIT: I've decided to take the site and script down for three days, pending Jon's sale as an act of good faith. A new layout will also be added, and the name is going to change to PlayCMS once it's redone. Everything will be back up in three days or less, Jon is going to post in here to confirm this.

Hi,

I am the current owner of gamescript.net, I have just spoken to Rick over MSN and he has agreed to change the domain and the layout of his copy of game script so that isn’t so similar to gamescript.

I have taken a look at the code at it has clearly been coded from scratch so there are no problems here.

cool... nice to see there's no conflict here.

I'm aware that code can be similar and legal but the layout should be different at least... I wasn't accusing anyone, mind you.

BTW- it would be nice to see either script capable of having additional content plugged in so all sites don't have to look so similar.
