This is what I have found out so far:

Because there is some safety-thing on the modes you can't chmod to 0777, and if you try it will display: 'internal server error'
also I can't make a directory by using "mkdir('........');", I can't delete directories (the ones I made myself), I'm not able to include files and who knows what else...
Now, I've been a member of entec host, (untill it vanished ) and they were working with a similar (not to say exact same file manager) and you didn't have these problems at all, ...
So my conclusion is that someone changed something in the standard system to make something else possible, but with this he/she must 've made some mistakes...
Therefor I volunteer to take a look and solve these problems and maybe improve a few things; what about it Trel? I promiss that I won't be changing anything without first telling you what.
Therefor it would also be more easier if I could contact you on msn (at least if you have msn installed.
(If you don't wish to give your hotmail-e-mail, I have a second account of which I'll pm the pass and id how 'bout it?)[/url]

There is no reason to CHMOD a folder to 777, it is a security risk and the server protects you from yourself.

We run php with safe mode enabled, you will need to make allowances for this.

I have added to to my private MSN Messenger list to try to help you clear some of this up.
