hope this is in the right section
i know dreamweaver fireworks javascript and director was wondering where to go from there.
php asp asp.net or what do you recomend.
whay would u recomend the one you do and what makes it different to the others

personally I like php which I code in myself. i never got on with asp or asp.net

I can tell you that people who learn .net and java command a higher salary, but there are fewer jobs available. PHP is certainly the most widely used web language and would be something that every developer should at least know something about.

php is easier and cheaper to host and develop. If you are going for personal use, use php.

I agree with the rest for PHP as long as you don't have a job or customer that requires you use ASP*

PHP is free to use on any platform and is basically supported by all hosting companies and plus it has a huge support community.

Definitely PHP! Its easier then ASP and stuff like forums, portals and blogs use it. So it would definitely come in handy some day.
