best codeto learn for html

What is the best code to learn for webdesign

like php sql vb?

apart from the obvious basic html etc.

sql is used in php. visual basic is more than less an alternitive of javascript and doesnt work on a linux system i dont think (someone correct me if im wrong)

Php is THE easiest to learn.

http://hotscripts.com/PHP/Tips_and_Tutorials/index.html is a great place to start after you read the beginners tutorial on the php website.

I also recomend downloading the phpmanual in compiled html format.
