Caution Get free stuff by exploiting PayPal lameness :-)

Some sites offer "instant" delivery of their digital goods. The way it works in most of the times is, when a confirmation arrives to a mailbox, the buyer's e-mail is in the "sender" field. The web-hosting is set up the special way to auto reply with a link or password to "special member" place / whatever.

Typical example:

Enjoy

I kind of get what you're saying, but could you describe it a bit more?

Edit: you would also use an anonymous emailer for this, correct?

Not PayPal's lameness, but rather the website owners/programmers. Security measures can be used when using the PayPal IPN (such as price checking, posting back to PayPal for verification, etc.) to prevent theft.

I'm going to close this thread, it's not appropriate for NamePros. If anyone has an issue with/question regarding the PayPal IPN, feel free to create a new thread.
