Notice Damn I just learned HTML

Hello
After reading a post http://www.webdesigntalk.net/showthread.php?t=86049 I think I made a mistake by learning HTML in a really long tutorial yesterday. I wound up having in excess of 17 pages of notes (I have a real good morning so I wont need to take a look at them again) dealing with commands, side comments and examples. I was planning on learning advanced HTML but now I think I just go with learning XHTML and advanced XHTML today. The site I went to has
HTML tutorials, XML tutorials, Browser scripting, Server scripting, .Net(dotnet), Multimedia, Web Building. The website is http://www.w3schools.com/ the categories are on the left. If its not to much to ask could someone recommend one topic from each category on the list for me to learn over the next few days.

Thank you

He just finished learning HTML - a little too soon for ASP, perl/cgi

Get started on learning CSS.

HTML + CSS = good combination for beginners.

Good luck

Here's one vote against investing your time in learning ASP -- or ColdFusion or any other proprietary technology. PHP and Perl are here to stay for a long while anyways. But in my opinion (and I'm sure many will disagree), proprietary languages have a much less certain future.

asp/jsp sucks. Perl sucks (a lot of people cant even install it...) PHP rules all... it pwns... php is good all around :-/

Now if you want to make your site look good, learn javascript (just a little of it), learn css, and of course XHTML and XML possible even RSS so you can add RSS feeds to your php scripts.

I hope you meant HTML + CSS is easy to learn and not that XHTML + CSS is for rookies . All the pros use the combination.
