![]() | creating a custom CMS hi, i've been designing for a little while now and i feel that i am starting to make some decent web sites. however, other than php contact pages, my skills in the programming area are pretty low so far. being able to make a custom CMS would obviously make my sites much more saleable. there are plently of open source CMSs to download, but then you are just working around someone elses work, trying to make your site fit into that slot - which i dont want... also with my own i can charge more, 'cause it's my work ![]() ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/programming/88373-creating-a-custom-cms.html basically, this is a really convoluted way of asking, does anybody know of a tutorial for setting up a simple CMS? thanks very much. |

![]() | There are certainly good books on getting started. You can find some helpful tutorials on building a CMS at SitePoint, or even try their book on it: http://www.sitepoint.com/books/phpmysql1/
