C++/PHP/Webcam on net

I want to have a site on the internet that shows my a picture of my backyard, with an every 5 minute refresh rate. I looked into this by searching google and all I couldn't find anything related.

My plan was to use c++ to "snap" a picture from my digital camera that is connected by USB. (I have a cheap Dual-Mode 2770).
^ thats the hardest part

The second plan was to either have C++ upload the image to my website or (if needed): I could just simpy use javascript/php to upload the image every 5minutes (of course it would require me to have my browser open)

If anyone can help me on this, I'd appreciate it.

firstly php is a server side language so having your browser open wouldnt make a blind bit of difference.

There are plenty of software titles that can do what you wish by taking the picture at a regular interval and uploading it via ftp to the desired server.

thanks for the reply

that whole php/javascript was a farfetched idea if needed

Farfetched idea (its quite good, lol):

Use any sorta software that automatically takes a picture every 4minutes or so.....and saves it at: c:\pic1.jpg
I would open up my browswer to a PHP image uploader on my site.....The javascript would automatically submit that image form every 5minutes...and php would then save it to the correct location and such

I recently did some searches on google about ftp camera software and found numerous amounts of them, thanks

They have a PHP Client which can be executed, so you could use the ftp functionality that PHP has to upload it. You'd just need C++ to execute it with a parameter. php script.php

i got this info from a warez site:

Willing Webcam can upload images from a Web camera to any Web site, store them to a local disk, or do either in cycle or on demand. It can also broadcast live video from its own HTTP server to World Wide Web in real time. It also comes equipped with a motion detection feature. Willing Webcam lets you overlay two combined text, date, and time stamps, and one watermark, as well as offering various styles of live video effects. Willing Webcam makes it easy create videos such as AVI movies, as well as capture JPEG and BMP images in an embedded photo album. The album organizes your collected files and allows you to view thumbnails and full images, and also play movies.

Version 2.6 added video camera search, multiple cameras switch, and improved network camera performance.

Im going to post the trial link from the official companys website, you can decide if you want to thn go and buy it:
