| No Country for Old Domainers ... Member Services | Is there many folks using Yabb Forum Software ? - I've seen it mentioned a few times here and there and decided to play with it some tonight ... Gotta say I'm impressed with the Simplicity of using it - Was wondering if anyone has heard of any bad flaws / etc ... Thanks ~ |

| NamePros Regular | Hey, I think its good for small sites. My friend used it for a message board just for a group of us and it worked fine for what we needed. Its got some nice features, easy to use, etc.It doesnt seem very secure though, it seems like it can be hacked easily (this was a few years ago, I dont know how much has changed since then though). |

| No Country for Old Domainers ... Member Services | Thanks - I read up of course on their site and boards - But I always prefer to hear stuff away from there as well .... The security is the only real worry for me - But otherwise it is Sooooooo Easy to use and modify |

| NamePros Regular | I was an admin on the forum and I didn't like the fact that admins/mods could actually view peoples passwords. Well, the password was displayed in a textbox that was for passwords and all you saw was *****, but if you viewed the source you could see the password value. The passwords were also stored in a txt file and I didnt think that was too safe. I dont know about other people, but I use similar names/passwords for all the forums and everything, and if you get an admin who spys or whatever, he can get your login info and use it. Like I said, I dont know how they have changed it over the years, this was about 3-4 years ago. Just my 2 cents Joe |

| Senior Member | Use phpBB must advance message board than yabb and it is FREE. I used yabb for the past 2 years but happy and satisfied with phpBB community. You can check some running community in www.multiforums.com. Cheers and good luck to your hunt. Regards, Em |
