mysql help please?

In phpmyadmin how do I find all entries in the table phrase that contains
GAS?
I tried SELECT * FROM phrase WHERE varname = GAS; but that doesnt work

I installed a article hack on my vbulletin forum and it didnt work and the
uninstall script dodnt remove the phrases....

You need to use ' ' around text.

So:

SELECT * FROM phrase WHERE varname = 'GAS'

or case unsensitive
SELECT * FROM phrase WHERE varname LIKE 'GAS'

If that's not the issue, what error are you getting?

all the phrases are GAS_bah_bah_bah
Just looking to list them all and delete them. I hate wasted space

Then you can wildcard it:

SELECT * FROM phrase WHERE varname LIKE 'GAS_%'

or
DELETE FROM phrase WHERE varname LIKE 'GAS_%'

Thanks RJ. I ended up using the search tab in phpmyadmin. I had never noticed it before
