Chapters or your local bookstore.
Mostly php is a learned language just like English it takes years to get good at in and hard work and a naggin person telling you to get you homework done on the way.

the best place is the local book shop as you can have a browse thru it before hand and see if it goes thru php in a way you like.

Many books have different ways of teaching you how to do similar things.

i suggest doing this:

ebay.com (used books but worth buying)

before you make your purchase go on google and type:

"books name reviews" without the ""

and read on the book before you buy it. also half.com same way.
