Problem displaying pictures

Hi guys,
I am working on writing a script in perl, and i need to display several pictures, but only the the one that exist can show, so I need to suppress the little red x.
so basically I want to tell the page to load 3 pictures, and if one doesn't exist then it doesn't load or show red x.

I tried that, but it didn't work, any other ideas
