Direct Vistor Chat

Hey,

I was on a website not so long ago, when a prompt came up on my screen. It was a chat window and I was speaking with some sales assistant. I then started asking them about the chat software they was using lol (completly off topic of their site haha) and they was saying that they can see all the visitors on the site and only have to click a visitors IP to start a chat with them. I was thinking thats a really good idea, and I was just wondering do any of you know what type of scripts can do this paid or free. I don't really mind.

Strangely enough I was just doing some research into this very topic because the 'live help' I have at the moment on my site www.cronservice.co.uk quite frankly sucks!

I've looked and tested a few systems but the best thing to do is to do a search, check the sites and view the demos. Some are free, some you can buy outright and some are hosted solution that you pay a montly fee.

Hey Lux!

Thanks for the reply, that is sort of what am after. Although I was looking for one were it will allow me direct chat with any visitor on my site (without them clicking a button to launch the chat) sort of like http://www.visitorville.com/visitor-chat.html although they are a little to expensive, and was wondering if there was any cheaper alternatives.

I trialed this one the other day that does exactly what you want but to be honest I didn't like it and unistalled it. The client didn't seem to work correctly, the 'support' was crappy when I used their own system on their site, the guy didn't know what he was talking about.

There's a free verion that's limited. You can't initiate a chat but it allows you to trial the sytem. You may have better luck than me and decide to buy but to be honest I know I've seen better (just can't rember them now) so take a look around and see what's on offer. If you willing to drop some $$$ you shouldn't have any trouble really.

i use boldchat.com for my site....it's free!!....

but i can't see people...the people have to start the chat...

but if u want to have that feature u got to pay a certain amount of $$ per month...
