Joomla Online Backup


Is it possible to extract the database from my joomla site from online, i mean a webtool or page in which you just have to input the URL of your site and vouila magic, your backup zipped ready to download.

I use Akeebabackup for backing up and restoring my joomla sites. It just installs as a component and dead easy to use.

You can restore using "kickstart".

Is that what you're after?

Yes I suggest you to use that tool too. I have in years with this component.. Just make sure u have enough space on your hosting. specially if you have a very large database and files. Make sure too your server in 'good' conditions..
